Early Life

Diggs was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, which is located in Olney, Maryland. He was a standout athlete in high school, participating in both football and basketball. However, it was on the football field where he truly shone.

High School Football Career

Diggs played for Our Lady of Good Counsel’s football team throughout his high school career. He was a four-star recruit and considered one of the top wide receivers in the nation. In his senior year, he had 72 receptions for 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns. He was also named the Gatorade Football Player of the Year for the state of Maryland.

His impressive high school career earned him a scholarship to play at the University of Maryland, where he continued to excel.

College Football Career

Diggs played for the Maryland Terrapins from 2012 to 2014. In his freshman year, he had 848 receiving yards and six touchdowns, earning him the title of ACC Rookie of the Year. In his sophomore year, he had 792 receiving yards and five touchdowns despite missing three games due to injury.

In his junior year, Diggs had 62 receptions for 792 yards and five touchdowns. He was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention for the season. After three successful years at Maryland, he decided to forgo his senior year and enter the NFL Draft.

Professional Football Career

Diggs was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He quickly became a fan favorite and a key player for the Vikings. In 2017, he had a breakout season, with 64 receptions for 849 yards and eight touchdowns. He was also named to the Pro Bowl that year.

In 2020, Diggs was traded to the Buffalo Bills, where he continued to be a dominant force on the field. He had a career-high 1,535 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, leading the league in both categories. He was also named a First-Team All-Pro for the first time in his career.
